A lot has been happening in the halls of Crestview, from out on the football field to having a fourth of the year already over.  The first quarter of the year has already gone by with many things happening. “I can’t believe how it’s gone by so fast and how I don’t have as much homework as I previously had.  The first quarter has gone by faster than expected and I’m thinking that the rest of the year is going to do the same thing,” said Senior Lucas Gibson.

Many of the students have been doing what it takes to get it done.  For the first time since 2005 the Knights made it the state playoffs with a regular season record of 8-2. Crestview beat LCC in the first round of playoffs but were defeated in the 12th week of football by Ada.

Preston Zaleski said, “The crowd was really active and knowing that we were the first group of Crestview guys to win a playoff game was really great and awesome.  After the first win it just felt like a huge success and it just felt like we accomplished something historic.”

Many of the students have been busy with fall sports but also many have been busy with the school play “Annie”.  There were two different shows: Nov. 16 and 16.  Twenty-three students were a part of the play and many were first time performers for a school play.  The cast has been practicing the play since September and it all came together and ended up being a big success.

“I went to the Sunday night showing and I really enjoyed watching my friends make the play a success.  It was actually really good and I am happy that I made it there.  It was good to see that a decent amount of other people came to watch it and it was cool to see some people that usually aren’t involved with that stuff, to be in it this year,” said Corban Grubb.
