Wren to light up Christmas display soon

WREN — The Wren Christmas Society would like to thank everyone for their support in purchasing chicken dinner tickets. Tom and Chris Gibson of Gibson’s Barnyard BBQ prepared a great meal for the event.  The money from the chicken dinners will be used to help pay for electricity for the Christmas lights this season.

Christmas lights and decorations are up in the Village of Wren and the official lighting will be on Saturday, November 30, at dark (approximately 6 p.m.).

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be in Wren at the Santa Shack at the corner of Ohio 49 and Jackson Street from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, December 14, Friday, December 20, and Saturday, December 21.  Again this year, carriage rides and hot chocolate and cookies will be available during Santa’s visiting hours.

The society will also be sponsoring an outside home display contest again this year within a 3-mile radius of Wren. Contact Karen at 419.495.2623 with any questions.
