Clinton R. Galloway

Clinton R. Galloway, 63, who resided in North Fort Myers, Fla., for the past 10 years, died at 11:22 a.m. Thursday, November 21, 2013, peacefully and surrounded by his family at his daughter’s home in Tampa, Fla.

He was born June 6, 1950, in Van Wert, the son of Thomas Eugene Galloway, who survives, and the late Myrna Rose (Young) Galloway.

Other survivors include two sons, Jayme Galloway of Columbus and Chris Galloway of North Fort Myers, Fla.; four daughters, Sheri (Dave) Daeger and Deb (Norm) Dettrow, both of Van Wert; Angie Galloway of Tampa, Fla., and Jessica (Todd) Ellis of Troy; a brother, Mark (Penny) Price of Payne; four sisters, Stephonie (Jon) Stewart of Crossville, Tenn., Kim (Woody) Woodard of North Fort Myers, Fla., Tammy (Tom) Bartz of Grover Hill, and Bernetta (Scott) Geise of Fort Jennings; eight grandchildren, Nick, Noah and Logan Daeger, Stacie (Matt) Couch, Brad (Macy Crooks) Dettrow, Liam Vazquez, and Gabby and Gavin Ellis; and four great-grandchildren, Madison, Landen, anc Mackenzie Couch, and Mylee Dettrow.

A sister, Tonya Bigham, also preceded him in death.

A former Chrysler employee, Clinton was an engineer in the automotive industry for over 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with his family. He was a beloved father with a wonderful smile and will be dearly missed. He was also a member of Moose Lodge 2417 in Buck Head Ridge, Okeechobee, Fla.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, November 30, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastor Steve Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery in rural Van Wert County.

Calling hours are from 1-3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
