James Paul Buchman

James Paul Buchman, 77, of Paulding, died Monday, December 16, 2013, at Paulding County Hospital in Paulding.

He was born July 19, 1936, in Paulding County, the son of the late John and Ruby (Gunderman) Buchman. On February 15, 1958, he married Patricia Ann (Rohr) Buchman, who survives in Paulding.

Other survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth (Steve) Pessefall of Paulding; one son, Robert Buchman of Haviland; a sister, Mary Laukhuf of Paulding; two brothers, Raymond Buchman of Defiance and Martin (Mary Ann) Buchman of Fort Wayne, Ind.; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Two brothers, David and Richard “Dick” Buchman; and three sisters, Louise Buchman, Janice McMillen and Kathryn Clark, also preceded him in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, December 20, at Divine Mercy Catholic Parish. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery in rural Paulding County.

Calling hours are from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, December 19, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding, where a Rosary service will be held at 7:30 that evening, and one hour prior to services Friday at the church.

Preferred memorials: Masses or the Gardens of Paulding Activity Fund.
