4th graders plan healthy snacks

Fourth grade students at Van Wert Elementary were given the opportunity to complete a chapter project for their math classes that asked students to plan snacks for a healthy foods party and determine how much food would be needed to serve the whole class. Students who completed the project earned lunch with their math teacher and those who challenged themselves by finding the calorie count for the whole class also received a special treat provided by the physical education teachers.
