CMS students spread Christmas spirit
Crestview Middle School information
This past Thursday, Crestview Middle School students participated in a day of caring and sharing to celebrate the holiday season.
Students traveled to Walmart to purchase gifts for local families. Students were asked to generate funds by doing extra work and chores at home. Upon returning to Crestview, students wrapped gifts, decorated classrooms, and iced cookies.
Students also shared their vocal talents by traveling to the Vancrest Care Center in Convoy to spread holiday cheer by caroling with residents of the center.
The day culminated with students enjoying a holiday movie in the Crestview auditeria.
The project provided students with an opportunity to directly contribute to the community and see how many working together can have a tremendous positive effect on their society.
Middle school teachers who guided the project include Hannah Philpot, Ben Hotmire, Owen Pugh, Jason Cross, Shay Sheets, Diane Wilson, Deanna Ray, Matt Perkins, Amy Tomlinson, Jeremy Best, James Lautzenheiser, and Middle School Principal Dave Bowen.
