Van Wert independent/Submitted information

BOWLING GREEN – Crestview High School seniors Kameron Grubaugh and Tanner Skelton, Van Wert senior Hannah Hulbert and Wayne Trace senior Jacob Gerber were all among those nominated by U.S. Representative Bob Latta for acceptance into one of the U.S. service academies.

Grubaugh was nominated for the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo., and the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., while Skelton was nominated for the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Md.

Hulbert was also nominated for the Air Force Academy and West Point, as well as the U.S. Naval Academy, while Gerber was nominated for the Air Force and Naval academies, along with the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at King’s Point, N.Y.

In addition, Payne native Simon Hessler, currently at student at Ohio University, was nominated for the U.S. Air Force Academy.

A nomination does not guarantee acceptance to an academy; that responsibility rests with each academy’s admissions office. Additional information regarding the academy nomination and application process may be obtained from Latta’s website at http://latta.house.gov.
