Alice B. Kreischer

Alice B. Kreischer, 90, of Van Wert, died at 7 p.m. Thursday, December 26, 2013, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert.

She was born November 18, 1923, in Rudersburg, Germany, the daughter of the late Gustav Freidrich and Emilie Auguste (Seibold) Ehman. On May 30, 1946, she married Norman Kreischer Jr., who preceded her in death on December 22, 2000.

Survivors include a son, Kelly (Connie) Kreischer of Van Wert; three daughters, Sharon K. (Thomas) Short and Karen (James) Fleagle, both of Van Wert, and Marcia L. Goings of Convoy; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a niece.

A brother, Fred Kurt Ehman, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, December 30, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating. Burial will be in King Cemetery in rural Van Wert County.

Calling hours are from noon-2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
