Wayne H. Sidle

Wayne H. Sidle, 83, of Van Wert, died at 6:52 p.m. Monday, January 6, 2014, at Van Wert Manor.

He was born April 24, 1930, in Van Wert, the son of the late Lee Clair and Grace Elizabeth (Mongold) Sidle. On August 29, 1954, he married Carol J. (Phelps) Sidle, who survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include a daughter, Diane L. (David) Morris of Venedocia; one son, Ronald W. Sidle of West Liberty; a sister, Nellita N. (Carl) Reidenbach of Fort Wayne, Ind.; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Two brothers, Oswin Sidle and Lowell Sidle, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 11, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. Gus Christo-Baker and Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Friday, January 10, and an hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.
