Robert M. Cahoon

Robert M. Cahoon, 58, of Van Wert, died Friday, January 3, 2014, at his residence.

He was born December 28, 1955, in Van Wert, the son of Helen (Emmerth) Cahoon, who survives in Los Angeles, Calif., and the late James P. Cahoon.

Survivors include three brothers, James P. (Kimberly) Cahoon of Hopewell, N.J., William A. (Heather) Cahoon of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Thomas P. Cahoon, Ph.D., of Los Angeles; two sisters, Dr. Kathleen Cahoon of Cottonwood, Ariz., and Cynthia (Paul) Brautigam of St. Marys; and two nieces and four nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 14, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert, with Father Stanley Szybka officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert.

Preferred memorials: Westwood Behavioral Health Center in Van Wert.
