Rodney Lynn Orsbon

Rodney Lynn Orsbon, 74, formerly of Convoy, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2014, at his home in Sunbury.

He was born in eastern Kentucky on August 13, 1939, the son of the late Cola and Rebecca (Ratcliff) Orsbon. On May 30, 1959, he married Monty Kay (Dougal) Orsbon, who survives at their residence.

Mr. Orsbon retired from Panhandle Eastern Pipeline Company in 1995. He enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his grandkids play sports.

Survivors include a son, Neal (Lori) Orsbon of Convoy; two daughters, Kalin (Tom) Tice and Tiffany (Brian) Wood, both of Hilliard; eight grandchildren, Becki (J.R.) Mollenkopf, Kris (Erica) Lytle, Levi (Taylor) Orsbon, Jordan (Nicole) Lytle, Briggs (Courtney) Orsbon, Quintin Tice, Garrett Wood and Colton Wood; four great-grandchildren, Brynn Mollenkopf, Kaylee Mollenkopf, Cole Lytle and Carolina Lytle; and a sister-in-law, Marlene Schwing of Katy, Texas.

A brother, Jerry Orsbon, his sister and brother-in-law, Mary Sue (Orsbon) and James Hyitt; his father- and mother-in-law, Williard and Leota Dougal; and a sister and brother-in-law, Kathleen (Dougal) and Robert Brotherwood.

A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 18, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 6727 State Route 49, Convoy.

There will be no calling hours.
