Thomas C. Brown

Thomas C. Brown, 79, of Van Wert, died Monday, January 13, 2014, at his residence.

He was born September 9, 1934, in Cincinnati, the son of Thomas Nye and Hazel (Clark) Brown. He married Leila (Wortman) Brown 52 years ago, and she survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Dr. Thomas L. (Denise) Brown of Beavercreek and Donald Leslie Brown of Van Wert; a stepbrother, Norman Skinner of Florida; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

His stepmother, Carrie (Skinner) Brown; a stepbrother, Jack Skinner; and two aunts, five uncles and several nieces and nephews, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 18, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials: American Legion Post 178 in Van Wert.
