Pauline L. Wermer

Pauline L. Wermer of Van Wert died at 3:04 p.m. Thursday, January 23, 2014, at Van Wert Manor.

She was born October 13, 1916, in Findlay, the daughter of the late Charles P. and Susan B. (Dunifon) Clark. On June 14, 1941, she married John M. Wermer, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include three children, Douglas (Gwen) Wermer of Leo, Ind., Phil (Nancy) Wermer of Van Wert and Marge (Ted) Carter of Georgetown, Ky.; a brother, Bill (Helen) Wilcox of New Haven, Ind.; one sister, Josephine (Richard) Ditto of Madison, Ala.; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A brother, John Charles Clark; two sisters, Sara Adams and Carolyn Dippery; and a grandchild, Jared Wermer, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday, January 27, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Van Wert, with the Rev. Will Haggis officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery in rural Van Wert County.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, January 26, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert and an hour prior to services Monday at the church.
