Clara M. Youtsey

Clara M. Youtsey, 76, of Latty, died at 3 p.m. Thursday, January 30, 2014, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, Ind.

She was born November 7, 1937, in Delphos, the daughter of the late Francis M. and Loris (Lucas) Parsons. On July 30, 1957, she married Charles L. Youtsey Sr., who preceded her in death on April 20, 1997.

Survivors include eight children, the Rev. Earl (Connie) Gile of Latty, Charles (Jackie) Youtsey Jr. of Haviland, Sue (Steve) Warren of Paulding, Christine Youtsey of Findlay, Cheryl (Dennis) Carlisle of Defiance, Candi (Randy) Smallwood of New Albany, Ind., Cindy (Alan) Conner of Galion, and Claudine (Mike) Graham of Dupont; a stepdaughter, Sue (Ron) Carlisle of Antwerp; two stepsons, Dan (Nancy) Frantom of Convoy and Miles Sealscott of Van Wert; four brothers, Marion (Peggy) Parsons of Toledo, Larry “Pete” (Cheryl) Parsons and Francis (Lee) Parsons Jr., both of Riverside, Calif.; and Ronald (Karen) Parsons of Van Wert; two sisters, Lois Peas of Van Wert and Thelma (Jerry) Moon of Lima; 48 grandchildren; 74 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Three brothers, Donald, Jim and Paul Gene Parsons; three sisters, Maxine Bethel, Evelyn Parsons and June Parsons; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, February 3, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Earl Gile officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery in rural Van Wert County.

Calling hours are from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, February 2, and an hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home. A Paulding Eagles Auxiliary memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
