Group plans Valentines for Vets event

Buckeye Youth will have its annual Valentines for Vets event on Wednesday, February 5, at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803, 111 N. Shannon St. Van Wert.

The event will be held from 6:15 to 7:45 p.m.  Buckeye Youth members should plan to attend and show appreciation to veterans for all they have sacrificed for this country. Members will make Valentines to be sent to the Veterans Administration Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind.

The local veterans color guard has also been invited to talk to the group about the disabled veterans that will receive the Valentines.

The public is invited to participate in this event. Refreshments will be served.

Buckeye Y Youth Inc. is a United Way agency and received a grant from the Van Wert County Foundation.
