Lady Knights get No. 1 sectional seed

Unsurprisingly, the Crestview Lady Knights are the No. 1-seeded team in the Division IV girls’ sectional basketball tournament being held this month at Van Wert High School.

The Lady Knights (15-1), the only team with a winning record in the sectional, receive a bye in the first round of the tourney and will play the winner of the February 18 game between Lincolnview (7-11) and Delphos St. John’s (5-13) on Saturday, February 22, starting at 6:15 p.m.

The No. 2 seed is Ottoville (8-8), which will play Fort Jennings (2-14) at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, February 19, while Delphos Jefferson (7-10) and Kalida (7-11) will play in the second game, to be held at approximately 8 that evening. The winners of those two games will play for the lower tier sectional championship in the 8 p.m. game on February 22.
