ADA — The Lincolnview Lady Lancers fell to Ada 49-25 in a Northwest Conference girls’ basketball game held Thursday at Ada.
The Lady Bulldogs’ sticky defense forced Lincolnview into 25 turnovers and 31 percent field goal shooting en route to the convincing win.
The Lancers actually led 7-5 after the first quarter, but the two middle quarters did them in, as Ada went on a 33-7 run in the second and third periods and led by 24 points, 38-14, at the end of three quarters of play.
Both teams scored 11 in the fourth period, but the game was already too far out of reach for the Lancers by that time.
Lincolnview made 10 of 32 field goal attempts (31 percent) and was 2 of 8 from three-point range (25 percent). The Lancers also hit 3 of 5 free throw attempts (60 percent).
Ada was 19 of 38 from the field (50 percent) and also hit half of its three-point attempts. The Bulldogs were 9 of 13 from the line (69 percent).
Ada also had the edge in rebounding, 18-15, and had 12 turnovers, to 25 for the Lancers.
