Knight girls have little trouble with Tinora

CONVOY — The Crestview Lady Knights defeated Tinora 62-41 Saturday to move to 18-1 on the season.

The Knights won with a balanced defense, with four players scoring in double figures, led by Lindsey Motycka’s 17 points. Mackenzie Riggenbach added 16 points for Crestview, while Emily Bauer scored 15 points and Kennis Mercer had 11 points. Ashley Mark led Tinora with 15 points, while Allison Weber scored 11 points for the Lady Rams.

The Lady Knights made half of its field goal attempts (24 of 48), while Tinora was 15 of 46 from field goal range (32.6 percent).

Crestview had six three-pointers in the game, versus five for the Rams. The Knights also made 8 of 10 free throws (80 percent), while Tinora was 6 of 13 from the line (46.2 percent).

Crestview also won the rebounding battle, 32-26, while both teams had 12 turnovers apiece.

Crestview will next be in action today at 6 p.m. at Wayne Trace.
