Colleen A. Beck

Colleen A. Beck, 92, of Van Wert, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2014, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert. She will always be remembered for her faithful love of her Lord and Savior. She has been the oldest member of First Baptist Church in Van Wert, which she joined in 1945.

She was born June 13, 1921, in Paragon, Ind., the daughter of the late Oley and Susie Stevens. She came to Van Wert to live with her aunt, and here she met and married Stephen E. Beck, who husband of 73 years, who survives at Vancrest Assisted Living.

Other survivors include a son, Donald E. (Pam) Beck; two grandsons, Steve and Brent Beck; and two great-grandchildren, Ryan and Aaron Beck, all living in Van Wert.

A grandson, Craig Aaron Beck; and a great-granddaughter, Taylor Allison Beck, also preceded her in death.

There will be no memorial service. A family gathering is planned for Thursday, February 13, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert.

No visitation is also planned at this time.

Preferred memorials: Vancrest Activity Fund, in honor of the wonderful, caring Vancrest staff.
