Lady Lancers dominate Paulding Panthers

The Lincolnview Lady Lancers had four players in double figures in a 61-39 Northwest Conference victory over Paulding Thursday at Lincolnview.
The Lancers were led by Julie Thatcher’s 20 points, while Christine Stemen added 14 points and Ashton Bowersock and Hannah McCleery each scored 10 points in the game.
Lincolnview doubled the score on the Panthers, 14-7, to lead by seven points at the end of the first quarter, and added another three points to its lead to go up by 10, 23-13, at the half. The Lancers then outscored Paulding 38-26 in the second half to get a relatively easy win.
Lincolnview shot well from the field, knocking down 23 of 42 for 54 percent, including a 3-for-7 performance (42 percent) from three-point range. The Panthers were 12 of 37 from the field (32 percent) and 4 of 12 (33.3 percent) from behind the arc.
The Lancers made 12 of 19 free throws (63 percent), while Paulding was 11 of 21 (52 percent) from the line.
Lincolnview also held the edge in rebounding, bringing down 24 boards to 20 for the Panthers, while the Lancers had 11 turnovers, versus 17 for Paulding.
Lincolnview is now 9-12 on the year and 3-5 in the NWC, while the Panthers fall to 7-14 overall and 1-7 in league play.
