Pam Kulwicki

On Tuesday, February 25, 2014, at 5:15 p.m. after her valiant fight with breast cancer, the angels came and wrapped their wings around Pam and took her to the Lord.

Pam was born in Lima, to Paul Willis and Janet Faye (Shafer) Kirkendall, who are both deceased. In 1969, she married Greg Kulwicki, who survives her.

She is also survived by sons Daniel Kulwicki, David (Tricia) Kulwicki, both of Convoy, and Derek (Sara) Kulwicki of Indianapolis, Ind.; grandchildren Morgan Kulwicki, Macy Kulwicki, Josie Kulwicki, Samantha Kulwicki, and Michael Kulwicki. Also surviving are two brothers, Craig (Elaine) Kirkendall of Clermont, Fla., and Kim (Helen) Kirkendall of Hamler; and a sister, Kelly (Ed) Verveke of Hamler.

Pam graduated from Hamler High School in 1964. She was an insurance agent and office manager in the family business. She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert, and its Altar Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Van Wert Optimist Club for many years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 1, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, with Fathers Stan Szybka and Charles Obinwa concelebrants. Immediately following the Mass, there will be a celebratory meal held in the church hall served by Gibson Catering and the Altar Rosary Society.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Friday, February 28, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, and an hour prior to services on Saturday at the church.
