Trevin M.A. Sanders Roark, 19, of Union City, Ind., entered guilty pleas to two counts each of aggravated murder, aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary. Sanders Roark was originally charged with 27 counts in connection with the murders of Robert Grube and his daughter, Colleen, who were found bound and shot to death at their Fort Recovery residence.

Sanders Roark, who was 17 at the time the murders were committed on November 30, 2011, cannot be given the death penalty. He was originally charged in Mercer County Juvenile Court, but a decision was made to try him as an adult during an amenability hearing held in that court in June 2013.

Sanders Roark earlier confessed to shooting Colleen Grube, 47, while he was high on methamphetamines.

Sentencing has been scheduled for April 15 in Mercer County Common Pleas Court.

A second man, Bryant Rhoades, 22, also of Union City, is also charged in connection with the deaths of the Fort Recovery man and his daughter. According to Sanders Roark, Rhoades is the person who shot 70-year-old Robert Grube with his own rifle.

The two men, and possibly others, were reportedly looking for valuables and prescription medicine at the Grube residence they could pawn to buy drugs.
