Fundraising event to be held in Rockford

ROCKFORD — A quarter auction will be held Sunday, March 30, at the Rockford Community Building.  The doors will open at 12:30 p.m., with food available, and the auction will start at 1 that afternoon.

For an admission fee of $3, participants may bid a quarter on any or all of the 90 gifts available.  The auction items are valued at amounts from $10 to $100, allowing participants the opportunity to receive a $100 item for 25 cents.

Greg Putoff will be master of ceremonies for the afternoon.

The event is sponsored by the Splash Pad Committee, with proceeds going toward improvement of the community splash pad. The public is invited to attend, bring friends and family, and enjoy a good time while supporting this project.
