Scott E. Drake

Scott E. “Skipper” Drake, 57, of Wetzel, died at 5:46 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2014, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert.

He was born December 27, 1957, in Van Wert, the son of Leone F. (Swartz) Pollock, who survives in Van Wert, and the late Dean E. Drake.

Other survivors include his stepfather, Rolland “Red” Pollock of Van Wert; a child, Lyndsay Drake of Van Wert; two brothers, Danny D. (Billie) Drake of Wetzel and Troy (Donna Riley) Drake of Rockford; and a sister, Lana Davies of Wilmington, N.C.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Mark McKay officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery in rural Van Wert County.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials: Zion Christian Union Church.
