Esther Jane Henrey

Esther Jane Henrey, 91, of rural Wren, died at 12:55 Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born May 22, 1922, in Craigville, Ind., the daughter of the late Clarence R. and Anna E. (Gahman) Abbott. On April 9, 1944, she married James Paul Henrey, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include three children, Jim (Sue) Henrey of Wren, Don (Charlotte) Henrey of Salem, W.Va., and Carolyn Wells of Van Wert; six grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 29, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastor Jim Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.

Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 28, at the funeral home.
