Ohio City Blue Ribbon Workers install officers

The Ohio City Blue Ribbon Workers met on Sunday March 23 . After roll call, pledges, and last meeting report from Secretary, new officers were installed and business was discussed.

New officers for the 2014 season are as follows : President- Chris Kraner , Vice President- Makenzie Bowen, Secretary – Tiffany Ricketts , Treasurer- Leslie Marbaugh , Reporter – Hannah Kraner , Health and Safety. – Colt Marbaugh and Dakota Thomas, Recreation – Draya Rison, Kailey Denmen, Alexis Bowen, Alexia Gearhart, Abbie Marbaugh, and Lauren Walls. Congratulations to all officers and please remember to put April 22 on your calendar for officer training at the fairgrounds.

Also discussed was the upcoming Liberty Township Litter pick up on April 6th at 1:00 . On this day members will disperse and cover 37 miles of Liberty Township cleaning the roadsides and ditches of trash. Parent helpers, friends and family are encouraged to help. You may bring your own gloves but also once again Stoneco will partner with 4H by providing work chore gloves and large heavy duty trash bags . Dress warm if needed, wear close toe shoes / no sandals or flip flops. Meet at the Township building at the Woodlawn Cemetery . A meal will be provided following the trash pick up at the church on Dillon Street in Ohio City. Rain date is April 12 at 9a.m. If it does rain the club will still meet at the church for a club meeting.

Tiffany Ricketts provided the meetings demonstration by showing how to make an Ocean in a Bottle by using a plastic water bottle, glitter, food coloring, sea animal and oil. The club very much enjoyed the presentation. The safety demonstration was done by guest speaker Rex Marbaugh who gave a very informative demonstration on Lawn mower use and maintenance.

May 4 will be the next meeting at 2 p.m. at the church; treats will be Lauren and drinks – Tiffany. Demonstrations due will be Dakota, David, and Colt.
