YWCA accepting scholarship applicants

YWCA of Van Wert County information

Two $500 scholarships will be awarded through the Young Women’s Christian Association of Van Wert County this spring. The scholarship funds will be paid directly to the college or university that the student plans to attend in the fall of 2014 and will be used for tuition.

The YWCA celebrates young women leaders and hopes to encourage positive, Christian character through this scholarship. Applicants must be Van Wert County high school senior girls who attend a county high school or reside within Van Wert County. The applicants must also display good morals, be an active church member, volunteer in a community organization and display leadership and Christian character in their daily life.

Applications are available through all Van Wert County high school guidance offices, as well as at the front desk of the YWCA. All applications are due by April 25.
