William Emerson Gamble
William Emerson “Bill” Gamble, 82, of Willshire, died at 5:58 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2014, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
He was born February 7, 1942, in Van Wert County, the son of the late Neil E. and Ruth (Michael) Gamble. On June 9, 1951, he married Margaret (Craine) Gamble, who survives.
Other survivors include five children, Ray Gamble of Ohio City, Steve (Kathy) Gamble and John (Rickie) Gamble, both of Rockford, Dean (Angie) Gamble of Willshire and Joy (John) Koch of Huntington, Ind.; a sister, Alice (Jack) Clark of Erie, Colo.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and four nieces and nephews.
A grandson, Trey Koch, also preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in rural Van Wert County.
Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, and an hour prior to funeral services Wednesday at the funeral home.
