Children’s Garden fundraiser canceled

The Van Wert Parks Department and Visionary Productions would like to announce that, due to reasons beyond their control, the Cary Cooper’s “Lighting of the Children’s Garden” benefit concert that was to be held April 10 at Smiley Park has been canceled.

Organizers said that area residents could see a possible replacement concert in May, and reminded people that SaMax, a brother and sister duo from Lima that will be at the Children’s Garden on August 2.

All proceeds from these concerts will go to the Lighting of the Children’s Garden event held each November.
