C’view boys, L’view girls win meet titles

Boys’ and girls’ track information

CONVOY — Crestview won the boys’ meet and Lincolnview edged the Lady Knights on the girls’ side during a track tri-meet that also included Ottoville that was held at the Crestview track facility in Convoy.

The Knight boys scored 76.5 points, compared to 62.5 for Lincolnview and 33.0 for the Big Green. On the girls’ side, the Lady Lancers barely squeezed by Crestview, 55.5-54.5, while Ottoville was also close behind with 50.0 points.

First-place finishers for the Knight boys were Isaiah Kline (100-meter dash, 11.45 seconds), the 4×200-meter and 4×100-meter relay teams, Mycah Grandstaff (1600-meter run, 4:35.89), Branden Clayton (800-meter run, 2:10.28, Zack Jellison (200-meter dash, 23.40 seconds), Grandstaff (3200-meter run, 10:19.00), Malcolm Oliver (long jump, 18 feet, 4 inches), Zen Burdette (shotput, 38, feet, 7.5 inches), and Copsey Bogle (pole vault, 11 feet, 6 inches.

Lincolnview boys with first-place finishes include Hunter Blankemeyer (110-meter hurdles, 15.3 seconds [school record-tie], as well as the 300-meter hurdles and high jump), Michael Garay (100-meter dash [tie] 11.5 seconds), and the boys 4×400-meter and 4×800-meter relay teams.

Bayley Tow placed second in the 1600-meter run just behind Grandstaff. Other second-place finishes went to Austin Sealscott (high jump), Logan Jewel (100-meter dash), Ben Bilimek (800-meter run), Alex Rodriguez (3200-meter run), and the boys’ 4×100 and 4×200-meter relay teams.

In the girls’ meet, Lady Lancer Anna Gorman won the 3200-meter run in a time of 13:32, while Lincolnview’s Abbey Enyart was first in the 1600-meter run and Ashton Bowersock won the 800-meter run.

Crestview’s Grace Callow took first in the 100-meter dash (13.48 seconds) and tied for first in the 200-meter dash (28.11 seconds), while Bekka Tracey won the shotput (26 feet, 11 inches) and Jamie Moore came in first in the pole vault (8 feet, 3 inches).
