Lancer baseball team loses to Ayersville

The Lincolnview baseball team had a tough outing on Tuesday, losing 8-0 to Ayersville in a non-conference game played at home.

Jalen Roberts was the losing pitcher for the Lancers, going 4 1/3 innings and giving up six runs (five earned) on five hits, while striking out three and walking five batters.

Matt Engel was the winning pitcher for Ayersville, going 5 2/3 innings and giving up just one hit, while walking two and striking out 13 for the Pilots.

Engel also helped himself out at the plate, going 2 for 3 with 2 RBI, while Jacob Kahle was also 2 for 3 with 1 RBI.
