Knights split dual meet with Lima CC

CONVOY — The Crestview boys’ and girls’ track and field teams split a dual meet with Lima Central Catholic on Saturday at home.

The boys’ team defeated the Thunderbirds 89-42, while the Knight girls were edged by LCC 65-61.

First-place finishers for the Crestview boys included Sage Schaffner in the 100-meter dash (12.06 seconds); the 4×200, 4×100 and 4×400-meter relay teams; Isaiah Kline in the 400-meter dash (54.40 seconds); Copsey Bogle in the 300-meter hurdles (46.73 seconds); Branden Clayton in the 800-meter run (2:16.09); Zen Burdette in the discus (102 feet, 11.5 inches); Jarrett Krick in the high jump (5 feet, 7 inches); Alex Cunningham in the long jump (16 feet, 7 inches); Burdette in the shot put (37 feet, 6 inches); and Bogle in the pole vault (11 feet even).

First-place finishers for the girls included the 4×800, 4×200, and 4×100-meter relay teams; Katie Hughes in the 100-meter hurdles (19.54 seconds), 400-meter dash (1:15.86) and high jump (tied at 4 feet, 6 inches); Grace Callow in the 200-meter dash (29.79 seconds) and long jump (14 feet, 11.5 inches); and Jamie Moore in the pole vault (8 feet even).

The Crestview boys’ and girls’ teams will both return to action this Tuesday, April 15, hosting a dual meet with Spencerville at the Crestview Athletic Complex in Convoy.
