Lancers lose doubleheader to Raiders

The Lincolnview baseball team lost a double-header to Wayne Trace on Saturday at home. The Lancers were edged 4-2 in the first game and again lost by two runs, 8-6, in the finale.
In the first game, both teams scored a run in the first inning, while Lincolnview added a run in the sixth inning to lead 2-1. The Raiders tied the game at 2-all in the top of the seventh and added two more runs in the ninth inning for the 4-2 win.
Offensive leaders for Lincolnview in the first game were Kyle Williams, who was 2-for-4 and scored two runs, while Derek Friesner and Conner McCleery were each 1-for-3 with an RBI.
In the second game, both teams scored two runs in the second inning, but Wayne Trace added a run in the third inning to go up 3-2. The Raiders scored four runs in the fourth to lead 7-2, but Lincolnview added three runs in the fifth to trail by two, 7-5.
Both teams added a run in the seventh to close out the game.
Offensive leaders for the Lancers were Derek Youtsey, who was 2-for-4 with a run scored, while Eli Farmer was 1-for-3 with an RBI and Wyatt Schmersal also drove in a run.
