MP Lions Club plans 41st chicken dinner
MIDDLE POINT — The Middle Point Lions Club will hold its 41st annual chicken dinner Sunday, April 27, at the Lincolnview School. Dinners will be served from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. in the Lincolnview cafeteria. Carryout service will also be provided.
The dinner will feature fried chicken prepared by the Chik ‘N’ House in Delphos. The dinner includes “all you can eat” chicken, mashed potatoes, a choice of corn or green beans, a dinner roll, beverage, and pie.
Tickets are $8.50 for adults, $4 for children 6-12, and all under age 5 are admitted free. Tickets can be purchased from Lions Club members or at the door.
Proceeds from the event will go toward the scholarship fund at Lincolnview. Scholarships, which will be awarded to Lincolnview seniors during graduation ceremonies, are based on scholastic records, financial need and the desire of students to attend and finish college.
To date, the club has awarded over $44,000 to graduates.
Bob Miller is chicken dinner chairman and Jim Holland is club president.
