Club plans planning session

By Rex Dolby

The Wassenberg Camera Club will hold a planning session on Thursday April 24 starting at 7 p.m. at the Wassenberg Art Center.

President Chris Wilson asks that as many members as possible attend the meeting but if any cannot be present, to please email your ideas to him at Chris@vanwert.com prior to the meeting. Your input is important! Topics to be covered will include themes and entry guidelines for the Van Wert County Fair photography exhibit, competition guidelines for the club’s monthly photo competitions, makeup dates for programs and competitions missed due to bad weather and ideas for future programs and field trips.

We do not have any programs scheduled past July. If you would be willing to lead a program on a particular topic, please let Chris know!

The club’s next meeting will be May 8 at 7 p.m. at the Wassenberg Art Center. “Moving Water” is the competition theme in prints and slides. Rex Dolby will make an illustrated presentation on “Composition.”

Wassenberg Camera Club meetings are open to anyone who has an interest in photography. If you have any questions regarding our camera club, classes or programs or would like to sign up, contact the Wassenberg Art Center.

The Wassenberg Art Center is located at 214 S. Washington St. (former Van Wert Armory). For information, call 419.238.6837, e-mail info@wassenbergartcenter.org, or visit the website at wassenbergartcenter.org.  Hours during exhibits are Tuesday through Sunday, 1-5 p.m.
