The students at Crestview are all ready for the prom that’s taking place this Saturday at Willow Bend. This year the theme for prom is taken from the hit movie, The Great Gatsby. Students also had the opportunity to reserve a spot to eat dinner at Willow Bend prior to the dance. The dance will follow starting at 8 p.m.. A lot of students are excited for prom and everything that goes with it.
“I’m hoping prom this year will be a lot of fun. I had an incredible time with my friends last year and I’m expecting the same excitement this year. It will be kind of sad being my last prom but I plan on having fun!” said Senior Emily Adams.
It has been a big week for some people involved in FFA at Crestview. There was the online test for Ag Engineering where five Crestview students competed. The top four scores were kept and the team placed third in the state and they are only two points behind Spencerville for second place. The state competition date has not been released yet but the team is looking to finish on top.
The Ag Small Gas Engines team consisting of Zayne Weck, Daniel Miller, and Dylan Henry had success in the district event taking first overall to move on to the state competition. On Tuesday, the team competed in the state competition at ATI in Wooster.
“I like being in the Small engine contest. It was fun working with the other people on the team. I think it’s one of the best competitions in FFA along with Ag Engineering and I would recommend it to anyone who likes working on engines. ,” said senior small engine team member Zayne Weck.
