Lancers down Paulding in NWC match-up

PAULDING — The Lincolnview baseball team edged Paulding in a Northwest Conference match-up.

Jalen Roberts was the winning pitcher for the Lancers, going six innings and giving up three runs, one of those earned, on two hits, while walking three and striking out seven.

Offensively, Tyler Richey led Lincolnview, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, while Austin Leeth was 1-for-3 with one RBI.

The Lancers scored two runs in the third inning, one in the fourth and the last two runs in the sixth inning, but then nearly let the game get away when the Panthers came back with four runs in the seventh.

Derek Youtsey came in in relief to stifle Paulding’s offense and earn a save.
