Semis crash on U.S. 33
An accident involving two semi-tractor-trailer rigs that occurred about 6:30 p.m. Friday closed a portion of U.S. 33 for the remainder of Friday and into Saturday morning. The highway was reopened at approximately 8:45 a.m., according to the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office, after a spill of hazardous liquid plastic was cleaned up by an Indiana-based hazmat company brought in for the job. A detour was put in place by the Ohio Department of Transportation. One person was said hurt, but not seriously. (photo submitted)
