Knights ending the year strong

By Dylan Henry

A few players from this year’s state team went to the Convoy preschool on Tuesday to read to the students there. These players attended preschool there when they were younger. Players involved were Cain and Connor Lautzenheiser, Braxton Reno, Isaiah Simerman, Damian Helm, Mitchell Rickard, and Nate Owens.

On Monday the students experienced a power outage throughout most of the morning. While walking through the hallways, though, it was noted that many teachers and students were still hard at work even in the darkness. Some high school students were out of luck if they forgot to charge their laptops the night before as many teachers continued instruction.

“The reason that this power outage affected me so much was that I was unable to use the resources I needed which resulted in unaccomplished school work,” said Josh Lichtensteiger

The Accounting 1, 2, and 3 classes visited the Fort Wayne Tincaps offices for a field trip. They toured the facility and got a chance to talk to their finance manager and found out what his job involves. After the tour, they were treated to a Tincaps game.

On Tuesday the Crestview track team competed in the county track meet against Lincolnview and Van Wert. This is always a meet that all of the teams want to win. Since all three teams are close in proximity, they know the people they are running against on a personal level so they know what to expect.
