Smoke detector project donation

Van Wert County fire chiefs received $500 donation from Ron Dull of Star Rentals for the “No Child Sleeps Unprotected” smoke detector project. The goal of the program is to provide every school age child in the county with a smoke detector that has a 10-year battery. Tax-deductible donations can be given to any of the county fire chiefs or sent directly to the Van Wert County Foundation, c/o County Smoke Detector Fund. Shown here are (from the left) Van Wert Fire Chief Jim Steele, Convoy Fire Chief Gary Kreischer, Dull, Ohio City Fire Chief Brandon Bowen and Wren Fire Chief Jackie Brandt.
