Robert E. Hartman

Robert E. Hartman, 69, of Scott, died at 7:12 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born January 11, 1945, in Van Wert, the son of Thelma (Stegaman) Walls, who survives in Van Wert, and the late George Walls. He married Bonnie Jean Hartman, who also preceded him in death.

Survivors include three children, Robert W. (Cathy) Hartman of Willshire, Mike W. Hartman of Convoy and Cynthia (Phil) Rhea of New Albany; two sisters, Pattie (Dee) Puckett of Muleshoe, Texas, and Sandy (Larry) Hirschy of Convoy; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon Saturday, May 10, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials: Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center or a charity of donor’s choice.
