Josephine J. Muhlenkamp

Josephine J. Muhlenkamp, 82, of Rockford, died at 8:50 a.m. Thursday, May 8, 2014, at Briarwood Village in Coldwater.

She was born December 28, 1931, in Rockford, the daughter of the late Wesley and Ica (Matthews) Custer. On April 19, 1952, she married Robert Muhlenkamp, who preceded her in death on June 5, 2011.

Survivors include five children, Jennifer (Rich) Miller of Rockford, Ginger (Doug) Lehman of Celina, Michael (Angela) Muhlenkamp of Pacifica, Calif., and Gloria (Craig) Valentine and Scott (Lisa) Muhlenkamp, both of Celina; two sisters, Bonnie (Bill) Ehrsam of Monroe, Ind., and Bonita (Lester) Myers of Convoy; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

A granddaughter, Kati Lehman, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, May 12, at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, with Pastor Chip Steffy officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Rockford.

Calling hours are from 3-8 p.m. Sunday, May 11, and an hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
