Foster signs letter to run at Taylor Univ.

Van Wert senior cross country standout Andi Foster will be heading for NAIA member Taylor University in the fall with the signing of her letter of intent on Thursday.
Foster is a three-time state qualifier in cross country, garnering a 45th place finish during her junior year, and currently holds the third faster time all-time among Van Wert girls’ cross country members with a 19:03 personal best.
While Foster may be a few miles from home next fall, there will be a familiar tie to Van Wert, as former VWHS boys’ track and field coach Quinn White is now at the helm of the Lady Trojans Cross Country Program.
“We’re excited to have Andi as part of the Taylor program and we know that she has come from great coaching and mentors at Van Wert High School,” White said.
The 2013 cross country team co-captain said she is excited about the opportunity to compete for Taylor and to continue her academic and athletic career.
Along with Coach White, Foster was joined her parents, John and Laura, Head Cross Country Coach Brendon Moody, Head Track and Field Coach Mark Collins, and Assistant Track & Field Coach Nate Hoverman for the letter signing ceremony in the VWHS Media Center.
