Glenda L. Pifer

Glenda L. Pifer, 93, of St. Marys, died at 6:25 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at Otterbein Senior Lifestyles Community.

She was born August 5, 1920, in Chattanooga, Ohio, the daughter of the late LeRoy and Bertha (Leininger) Pifer.

Survivors include three sisters, Marjorie Maxine Pifer of St. Marys, Verna (Eugene) Behm of Celina and Twyla (Dr. A.B. Dudley) of Columbus, Ga.; and a number of nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

A brother, Gerald LeRoy Pifer; and three sisters, Beatrice Pifer, Ruby Pifer and Donna Pifer, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, May 23, at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Rockford.

Calling hours are an hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials: Chattanooga United Methodist Church, State of the Heart Hospice or the Mercer County Cancer Society.
