Findlay man faces charges for burglaries

A Findlay man is being charged in connection with a number of residential burglaries that occurred in Washington Township on May 21-22.

Sheriff Thomas M. Riggenbach announced that Kiehl A. Martin, 27, is currently in custody in Putnam County on a felony count of receiving stolen property and a misdemeanor theft charge. He also faces potential charges of burglary, breaking and entering, theft and criminal trespass in connection with the incidents.

Martin was found by the Delphos Police Department close to an area where several residences were burglarized. Items in Martin’s possession recovered by Delphos police and Van Wert County sheriff’s deputies also linked him to the burglaries.

The sheriff said the investigation is continuing, with additional charges yet to be filed.
