Gary D. Keysor, 62, of Van Wert, died Saturday, May 24, 2014, at his residence.

He was born March 9, 1952, in Van Wert, the son of Arlene (Hyman) Keysor, who survives in Van Wert, and the late Kenneth L. Keysor, who died April 5, 2009. On April 5, 1975, he married Kathy (Glassburn) Keysor, who survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include two sons, Kenn (Stephanie) Keysor and Michael (Leah) Keysor, both of Van Wert; his father-in-law, Willard Glassburn of Wabash, Indiana; two sisters, Cheryl (Emmett) Gehres and Susan (John) Wehage, both of Van Wert; a sister-in-law, Karen (Wayne) Carpenter of Wabash; six grandchildren, Dalton, Brenna, Emma, Claire, Beth and Joseph Keysor; seven nieces and nephews, Kalee Carpenter, Ty Carpenter and Max Carpenter, all of Wabash, Tom (Heather) Hitchcock of Celina, Brian (Tamara) Hitchcock of Van Wert, Amber (E.J.) Genato of California, and Adam (Jamie) Wehage and Dawn (Matt) Freeman, both of Van Wert.

His mother-in-law, Helen Glassburn; and two brothers-in-law, Randy Glassburn and Rodney Glassburn, also preceded him in death.

Mr. Keysor was a lifelong farmer. He attended First Baptist Church in Van Wert,  was active in Farm Focus for many years and formerly active with 4-H.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 31, at First Baptist Church in Van Wert, with the Rev. Steve Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery in rural Van Wert County.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Friday, May 29, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, and an hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
