Jerry Dean Thomas

Jerry Dean Thomas, 71, of Findlay, died at 6:10 p.m. Monday, May 26, 2014, at Birchaven Village in Findlay.

He was born November 28, 1942, in Mendon, the son of the late Raymond and Freida (Dilbone) Thomas. He had been married to Mary L. (Thompson) Thomas, who preceded him in death, and Nancy (Glander) Thomas.

Survivors include a son, Jeff Thomas of Findlay; three daughters, Kathy (Bart) Fenimore, Kris Thomas and Tammy Wieging, all of Findlay; two stepsons, James (Danielle) Deterer of Ashley and Joshua (Jackie) Deterer of Summerville, South Carolina; two brothers, Ronnie Thomas of Arlington and James Allen (Becky) Thomas of Convoy; a sister, Pam Vannett of Delphos; 21 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Three brothers, Max McNutt, William Thomas and Gene Thomas; a granddaughter, Shelby Deterer; and one great-grandchild, also preceded him in death.

A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, May 30, at Birchaven Village Chapel in Findlay, while graveside funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Mendon Cemetery, with Pastor Bill Reist officiating. American Legion Post 346 in Ohio City will perform military honors.

There will be no calling hours.
