Lincolnview High School held its 54th annual baccalaureate and commencement services on Sunday in the high school gymnasium.
Pastor Adam Borsay of Mount Pleasant Church gave the opening prayer, while the choir sang “Just a Little While” by Jay Althouse and the band played Movement 2 from “Where the river Flows” by James Swearingen.
Class speakers included Valedictorian Randall “Chance” Burnett, Salutatorian Kelsey Mohr and Class President Jordan Ludwig.
Senior awards were then presented by Brenda Leeth, as well as representatives of the Middle Point and Venedocia Lions, Lincolnview Young Farmers, and the Lincolnview Local Education Association.
Superintendent Jeff Snyder made remarks, as did Board of Education President Eric Germann.
Members of the board then handed out diplomas to the 62 members of Lincolnview’s Class of 2014.
Following presentation of diplomas, class members switched the tassels on their mortarboards to indicate their formal graduation and then tossed mortarboards prior to recessing from the gym to celebrate with family and friends (click here for more photos)
