Marlins do well in first summer meets

The YMCA Marlins opened their summer swim season by traveling to Lima Westside Swim Club and Wapakoneta Community Swim Club. At Westside, swimmers with first place finishes for the Marlins were (number of wins in parentheses):  Ian Rex (1); Jayden Welker (3); Katie McVaigh (3); Emma (2); Noelle Heffner (3) and Eric Easley (1).

At Wapakoneta, top finishers were Sam Houg (2); Tyra McClain (2); Katie McVaigh (3); Emma Pollock (1) and Risa Pollock (1).

Next up for the Marlins is a trip to Hardin County Community Pool and then home versus Ada Lost Creek Swim Club.  Below are the complete results.

Girls 13-14 200 Medley (K.Wray,N.Heffner,S.Lehman,R.Pollock) took 2^nd.  Girls 8 & Under 100 Free (O.Rutkowski,R.Youngpeter,E.Miller,L.Mull) 3^rd place.  Boys 9-10 200 Free (I.Rex,K.Woolbright,L.Miller,J.Welher) finished 1^st.  Girls 11-12 200 Free (K.McVaigh,S.Rutkowski,E.Rutkowski,E.Pollock) finished third.
