VW Marlins do well at recent swim meets

A very depleted YMCA Marlins team of 16 swimmers, traveled to Lima Sherwood Swim club for a meet.   Taking first place in all of their events were Tyra McClain (3), Jayden Welker (4) and Risa Pollock (3).  Also taking first place were Luke Miller (1); Emma Pollock (3); Rickie Welker (1); Erin Miller (1); Aaron Stant (2) and Bethany Fast (1).

On Monday night, the Marlins hosted the Bluffton Swim Club at the Van Wert YMCA. Sam Houg won all five of his events while Risa Pollock won all three of hers. Also with first place finishes were Emma Miller (1); Sofia Houg (1); Ian Rex (2); Jayden Welker (3); Jamie Burenga (1); Katie McVaigh (3); Erin Miller (1); Noelle Heffner (1); Aaron Stant (3) and Sam Easley (2).

Next up for the Marlins is a home meet with the Lima Shawnee Country Club swim team on July 7.
